We enjoy making very unique articles of clothing and this is no exception. This workshirt makes use of a beautiful and soft sanforized 5 oz. American cotton chambray, meticulously hank-dyed with persimmon and brown tannin by the craftsmen of Nihon Menpu Japan. The different shades of the yarns lend a very interesting overall character to this selvedge fabric - you can zoom in the photos to see this detail.
Whilst the shirt is light, we constructed it with durability in mind. The placket and main seams are chain-stitched, and the elbows of the sleeves are double-paneled. There are 2 asymmetrical chest pockets - the left breast pocket has 2 main slots for access of small articles from above and on the side, while the 3rd slot is handy for easy reach of a pen or pencil. Both pockets are secured with buttons. And talking about those, the buttons are the heat-resistant type in milky colour, procured also from Japan.
A shirt that is both very useful and will last long with proper care, a garment that the owner will enjoy wearing through years of use.
